Two thermal power plants, each with a capacity of 1,320 MW (2 x 660 MW), are operated by the company. These plants are powered by domestic coal and are located in Jhajjar, Haryana. PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) have been signed by JPL with Haryana-based distribution companies, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd, for a period of 25 years. These agreements cover around 90 per cent of the company's generation capacity. The remaining 10 per cent has been secured through a PPA with Tata Power Trading Company Ltd. Additionally, JPL has also entered into supply agreements with Central Coalfields Ltd, Northern Coalfields Ltd, and Eastern Coalfields Ltd. These partnerships ensure a steady supply of coal for the company's power plants.
