Dal 1 gennaio 2016 è stata istituita l ATS della Città Metropolitana di Milano, lAgenzia di Tutela della Salute, come determinato dalla Legge Regionale n. 232015 - Evoluzione del Sistema Socio sanitario Lombardo. LAgenzia comprende 194 comuni e raccoglie i territori che, fino al 31 dicembre 2015, erano di competenza di quattro Aziende: ASL Milano, ASL Milano 1, ASL Milano 2, ASL Lodi. LATS ha il compito di - garantire il governo della rete sanitaria e sociosanitaria nel proprio ambito territoriale, favorendo lintegrazione della rete di erogazione con la rete sociale del territorio - stipulare contratti con i soggetti erogatori pubblici e privati accreditati del territorio di competenza - garantire il raggiungimento degli obiettivi previsti nel Piano Sociosanitario Integrato Lombardo
