CARDIOTEC was founded in 1994.

CARDIOTEC is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

Cardiotec produces Drug eluting stents and PTCA catheters for coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. Its products include the DXR Drug Eluting Coronary Stent System, the ILOTAXTM Dual Drug Eluting Coronary Stent System, and the BH PLUS is a Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) balloon catheter. DXR Drug Eluting Coronary Stent System is indicated for improving coronary luminal diameter in patients with symptomatic heart disease due to de novo native coronary artery lesions, and the dosage of coated drugs acts reducing restenosis in the lesions. ILOTAXTM Dual Drug Eluting Coronary Stent System is made of L-605 cobalt chromium alloy with coat layers that consist of the antiproliferative drug Paclitaxel, antiplatelet drug Cilostazol, and polymers. BH PLUS is a Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) balloon catheter which is used in a situation like vascular occlusion, narrowing of the coronary arteries, or similar sorts. When the balloon is inflated, it compresses plaque or other foreign substances within a clogged coronary artery which in turn widens. To facilitate insertion of the catheter, the tip of the catheter is narrow, and with radiopaque marker bands, which are used in fluoroscopic examinations, it can be easily placed.
