The companys flagship product, the Spatz Adjustable Balloon System is a medical grade, saline-filled gastric balloon with attached anchor and adjustability valve that rests in the stomach cavity and decreases appetite by occupying approximately a third of the stomach volume. In addition, with the gastric balloon in place, the stomach empties more slowly, keeping you feeling full longer. It is implanted endoscopically in an outpatient procedure and works by reducing stomach capacity to give a feeling of satiety. The adjustability valve allows the volume of the balloon to be changed as per patient needs. The balloon is designed to stay in the stomach for upto 1 year before it requires removal.
