In addition to cement production, SCL also engages in the trading of slag, coal, and gypsum, based on orders received. As of December 2013, the company has ceased its marketing arrangement with ACC and is now selling its cement under its own brand, 'Sumangal'. SCL was incorporated in 1985 and its registered office is located in Rourkela, Orissa.
